Aromatherapy massage has a direct effect on the nervous system. There are ganglia or nerve cells around spine that serve as reflex points. Nerve fibres pass through these ganglia and form groups. They go to different organs and glands of the body. Balancing and stimulating these points through massage has a normalizing effect on the functions of these organs.
